The Southern Indiana Genealogical Society (SIGS) will celebrate Women’s History Month with a program about “Notable Tough, Rough and Dangerous Female Ancestors of Southern Indiana Residents” on March 5. Kathy Fisher, Diane Stepro and Melissa Wiseheart, genealogy and local history librarians of the Harrison, Jeffersonville Township (Clark) and Floyd Counties Public Libraries will tell stories about some very colorful and free-spirited female ancestors of tri-county women. The public is invited to attend.
