“Stories of the First Families” is the theme of the Southern Indiana Genealogical Society (SIGS) April 6 program. Ancestral accounts of some of the earliest settlers of Clark, Floyd, and Harrison Counties will be presented. The program is part of the “First Families Bicentennial Legacy Project” which identifies tri-county pioneers and their direct descendants and preserves those families’ histories.
A “meet and mingle” with light refreshments will begin at 6:45 PM with program at 7 PM in the Strassweg Auditorium of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, 180 W. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. For more information, please visit http://sigsweb.org/meetings or call Donna Foster at 812-923-3492.
